Mist Fountain

Plaza Bizkaia, Bilbao
Date: 2008

Description
This is a fountain of clouds, a fountain without a classical water surface. Is a source of the purest water, as is the water in the sky, in the clouds.

Above the clouds rises a landscape of several black sculptures. Them are forms of a large organic content, but can be metaphors of mountains, as distant peaks.

We search for a landscape fountain. It´s recalls us a Japanese garden, in which the effect of abstraction is achieved paradoxically by letting us come closer to ourselves. To the intensity of what we are.

The texture and freshness of micronized water sets a world where we try to catch our sensitivity, with the tactile lightness of cloud water and the density of black granite sculptures.

The fountain source can be traversed in all directions while the cloud is running. When you`ll pass through there you`ll only feel a freshness.

Is a fountain that does not give us to drink, but a symbol and an expression of who we are.
